A translated website is not a localized website. These are different things. Translation converts words. Localization asks what those words need to do in the target market, and sometimes the answer is that different words are needed altogether. Search intent differs by market. Navigation conventions differ. What makes a call-to-action compelling in Spanish does not always translate directly into German.
